Founded in 1950, Todd Research has a proud history of designing, manufacturing and supplying X-ray scanners, metal detectors and blast suppression equipment across a diverse range of public and private market channels.
At the heart of our business is our Cabinet X-ray scanner offering. Since developing the world’s first mailroom X-ray scanner in 1973, we’ve expanded our product range to cover a wide range of security solutions, each designed to aid the detection of suspect devices.

Meet the Team

A former member of the British Army, Jason has extensive knowledge of IEDs (Improvised Explosive Devices). Since leaving the army, he’s worked in a range of private security roles and currently oversees all aspects of the Todd Research sales division. He’s also a level 3 fitness instructor for his local community group.
Jason Wakefield
Working at Todd Research for over 28 Years, Mark is the Operations Director, and serves on its board of directors. Prior to this Mark was the Service Manager, responsible for worldwide Service Delivery & Operations. Mark heads & plays a key role in strategic product development & supplier relationships, ensuring flexibility in response to an increasingly demanding marketplace. A strong believer in the power of positive thinking in the workplace. Mark enjoys a good Netflix binge, but at weekends can also be found DJing at weddings or on a long walk with his wife.
Mark Boshell
With 14 years’ experience with the Aviation Logistics sector, working with Major Airlines and Security Regulators to maintain and improve security. Terry joins the team with comprehensive knowledge security procedures and the primary aim of introducing bespoke X-Ray screening solutions into new sectors of the aviation supply chain. In his spare time Terry enjoys playing Golf and attending live music events.
Terry Maloney
Joining the company in 2010, Charlotte has worked in a number of roles within the company, including Receptionist, Customer Service Executive and Sales Support Coordinator. Now our Sales and Marketing Administrator, Charlotte manages all marketing for the company and activities within the marketing department, along with supporting the Sales Team with administration and new lead generation. In her spare time, she enjoys days out with her family and socialising with friends.
Charlotte Jones
Starting at Todd in 2022 in the production area, Tom is now our Production Technical Manager. In this role he is responsible for the day to day running of the production area, liaising with suppliers, and assisting with technical support remotely among other areas. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with family, walking his dog, and restoring and modifying old video game systems.
Tom Currell
A graduate in International Business with German, Caroline previously worked in the telecommunication and biomedical industries before joining Todd Research in 2011. In her role as Office Manager, she works closely with our Sales and Engineering divisions to ensure that the needs of our customers are met. Caroline is a keen runner, her biggest achievement being the completion of Brighton Marathon.
Caroline Banks
In her role as Sales, Service and Purchasing Administrator, Emma works closely with all teams and has a very varied role. Some of her responsibilities include managing maintenance contracts, raising purchase orders and answering general enquiries from customers. In her spare time, Emma enjoys family time, socialising, and a Netflix binge.
