Chemical and Biological attacks – In a recent article published by The Telegraph on 18th June 2018, it was reported that MPs told Theresa May that defence spending must be increased to combat the rise in chemical and biological threats.

What if your business was subject to a biological attack?

Whether it is a disgruntled employee, a person who objects to your business activities, or just a random attack – would your business be equipped with the right procedures and equipment to identify and handle this safely and efficiently?

You can detect powder threats with X-Ray scanning technology. If you have the right machine and coupled with well trained operators, you have a chance of spotting a threat before it can harm your staff or disrupt your business.

Here at Todd Research we specialise in Bio-Terrorist detection for post rooms.
Our latest generation TR15 +Smart Scan X-Ray scanner, with enhanced EPD software, can detect as little as 3 grams of powder. Even small quantities of powder that have gathered in the corner of an envelope, the TR15 can detect. To our knowledge, this is the only machine with this level of capability as powder doesn’t have a great deal of density.

In recent news, German authorities have prevented a major biological attack –  by arresting a Tunisian man in Cologne.
The 29-year-old man, Sief Allah H. had manufactured ricin, a poison found in castor beans, for the suspected attack. Prosecutors say the suspect bought the seeds online, and used instructions posted online by the “Islamic State” militant group to make ricin.
Ricin is 6,000 times more potent than cyanide and is lethal in minute doses if swallowed, inhaled or injected. During searches carried out, objects that would be used to make a bomb were also found.
Although the target of the suspected attack was not clear, this is a prime example of how easy it is for someone to purchase ingredients that could cause significant harm.
